It is now time to start collecting the information to be included in the Bamboo Species Source List No. 28. Please use this input form for new sources.
Register and login, then put in your information and click “Save” at the bottom of the form and you will be entered for this year's list. If you cannot access the form on-line, please contact us as soon as possible and we will send you a printed form that you can mail or fax back. Please review and return your input form as soon as possible.
Eligibility: Anyone who wants to be listed as a source must be a current paid member of ABS for the year 2008. Please be sure to renew your membership early (like right now), and not later than December 31st, 2007. The quickest way to renew is on-line at the ABS Web site. With the secure checkout you can pay with Paypal, credit card, or by direct withdrawal from your checking account (eCheck).
Printable renewal forms can be found in the Membership Directory, the ABS Web site, our magazine BAMBOO or last year's Source List. Be sure to use a current version (2007) of the above referenced publications.
Pricing: Chapters and vendors can obtain bulk quantities (25 or more) of the Species Source List for $50.00 per group of 25 (minimum 25 copies per order), including postage and handling, provided that the order is placed and paid for before the Species List is printed. A price of $5.00 will be printed on the Source list. Anyone ordering the Source List after publication will pay $5.00 per copy. Please put the number of copies wanted on the input form and send requests and payment to:
- ABS TreasurerDisplay Advertising: Business Card size ads will be offered for $100. Space will be limited and is offered on a first come, first served basis. Payment must be received in advance of printing. Send payment to the address given above.
Ad copy also may be sent to the above address or e-mail your image files to with a copy to the . If you prepaid for ads in all publications, we already have your ad copy so there is no need to contact us for inclusion in the Source List.
Species List: This year, Chris Stapleton, Species List Editor, is again preparing the Species List. Any changes in the list will be reflected in the input form, starting the first week of December. If you have any species you think should be included or modified, you need to contact Chris. The changes may take some time to verify, so the best time to send a request is as soon as the previous year's issue is printed. There will be no changes once the list is finalized for this issue.
